In recent years Panama has become a very popular tourist destination and real estate investment. There are lots of reasons for this but the main one is the natural beauty of the country. It is less than a thirty minute drive from the capital to the rainforest, making it very convenient to reach. The main reason that people go is to see the wild life, the area is home to hundreds of different species. Kayaking, rafting and boat tours are popular ways to see the rainforest. Fishing is also a popular activity, Gatun Lake is a manmade lake that was created to supply water for the canal, and it has outstanding fishing.

Bocas del Toro is a group of small islands on Panama's Caribbean coast and it is another of the country's most popular travel destinations. The islands are famous for their outstanding beaches which are some of the finest in Caribbean. Even better unlike a lot of other Caribbean islands they haven't been overrun by development since the tourist industry is still fairly small. Bocas del Toro has all of the activities that you would expect to find on a beach destination, swimming, snorkeling and surfing. The beaches are surrounded by rainforest which makes them great for seeing wildlife as well.

Boquete is a popular mountain area of Panama that is well known for its scenery and the large number of activities that can be done in the area. The area's scenery makes it ideal for hiking and rafting, bird watching is another popular activity. One of the highlights of a visit to Boquete is the zip line canopy tour. The area is also home to a number of coffee farms which can be toured. Not only is Boquete a popular travel destination it is becoming a very popular retirement destination as well.

Boca Chica is another popular destination because of its national marine park. The area has a large amount of marine wild life which makes it a popular destination for snorkeling and scuba diving. Boca Chica is also a popular deep sea fishing destination. The beaches are surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountains in Panama so there is lots to see above the water as well.
